The Instituto San Pedro is located in the heart of Segovia, Spain, a city rich in history and tradition. We offer immersive Spanish language and culture programs for students from the USA.
It is hosted in one of the most beautiful medieval cities in Spain, Segovia. It is situated at the foot of the Central System, in the community of Castilla y León, a one-hour drive north-west of Madrid.
Segovia is a town of 49,000 inhabitants that offers a wide range of cultural, leisure, and gastronomic activities. It is a city unique for its historic and artistic wealth. It was named by the United Nations as one of the "World Heritage Cities," which, together with the hospitality of its people, its cultural festivities, its commitment to safety, and its University atmosphere, makes Segovia one of the most appropriate places for learning Spanish.
Students learn the Spanish language while experiencing the culture and daily life of the Spanish people in the most important classroom: the city of Segovia.
Segovia includes many places of cultural and historical interest, such as the Roman Aqueduct (the largest and best kept in the world), the Alcázar (the castle that inspired the design of one of the Disney castles), the Cathedral, Esteban Vicente Museum, Segovia Museum, Rodera Robles Museum, Antonio Machado House Museum, Casa de los Picos, Segovia's city wall tour, Torreón de Lozoya, Royal Mint, Jewish Quarter, and several churches from Visigothic times to the present day.
The program also includes visits to:
The surroundings of Segovia: Royal Palace of La Granja de San Ildefonso and a day of hiking in the mountains.
Madrid and its Museums: El Prado, Reina Sofía Museum of Contemporary Art, and a walk around downtown Madrid.
Surroundings of Madrid: Monastery of El Escorial and Valle de los Caídos (Valley of the Fallen).
Moreover, to finish the program, there is a five-day excursion around Andalucía. We will stay at a 4-star hotel in Seville, and from there we will visit:
Granada (The Alhambra)
Córdoba (The Mosque–Cathedral)
Seville (The Giralda, Plaza de España, Royal Alcázar, María Luisa Park, and Torre del Oro)
On the last day in Madrid (4-star hotel), we will explore the old Madrid.
At the end of the program, there will be a farewell bocadillo de jamón (cured ham sandwich) by plaza del Sol in Madrid — a perfect way to conclude our Spanish experience!

Both students and kids greately enjoy this solidary activity.
This service is certified with a 15 hour diploma, accepted and recognized by all schools.
Dear parents,
The Spanish lenguage is the second most important in the world after English. Its social and cultural importance is growing making the Spanish language a very important part of our personal and professional wealth. Learning and mastering the Spanish language is one of the greater investments in our kids' education. Also, in order to master a language we must live in the country where the language is spoken.
Segovia is a very safe city, welcoming, friendly, very rich in artistic expressions and with a great history. It becomes very international especially during the summer, its customs, culture and people come out to be very appealing for the visitor.
San Pedro was founded in 1958 by my father José M. Martín. We have been successfully teaching Spanish to North American High School and College students for over 50 years. Our school, is one of the most prestigious organizations dedicated to teaching Spanish as a foreign language.
Because our kids deserve the best, we strive year after year for the students to have the best experience at our program.
San Pedro offers the best teaching quality, program of activities and leisure time for the kids through a great combination of these.
At San Pedro your son/daughter will enjoy from a great, controlled environment that will allow him or her to experience Spanish 100%.
Best regards,
José Mª Martín San Pedro
